Bow Ties & Brooches
Happy #WorkforceWednesday yall! We are halfway through the week. AMEN!🙌🏽🙏
This week, I'm drawing your attention to my fancy smancy bow tie & brooch. It was just what I needed to take my look from basic to bold. As a Co-Chair for the Professional Development Committee of the Black Professional Group at my job, we decided to wear red and black for our 2020 Recruitment Session.
Red can sometimes come off too strong in the workplace, especially when you're meeting people for the first time. So I chose to keep the Red as subtle as possible which made this bow the perfect accessory.👌🏽
Those that know me, know that I actually make bow ties but I can't take the credit for this one. It was a gift. Bow ties are timeless. Over the years, they have become more common in women's wardrobes and brooches have evolved. They are no longer just your Grandmother's accessory! They are perfect for adding a subtle flare to a simple look. You can find some really nice ones at the thrift stores.😉
